Following “The Recipe” and “Swimming Pools (Drank),” Kendrick Lamar drops another quality offering off his forthcoming LP with the Just Blaze produced “Compton.” The track has that signature Just Blaze bassline thump and Kendrick and Dre both meet the track’s soulful energy with fervor. The ending beat switch with the talk box vocals is a nice touch considering the region being celebrated. Lamar’s good kid M.A.A.D. City drops on October 22.
i like this joint, still think kendick is overated though… this also best i heard from the dr in a while… i think the beat got a dre feel aswell… liked the voice box to, good tribute
